The Global Patent Prosecution Highway (GPPH) - with the participation of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office - began to work from 6 January 2014. The aim of the project is to enable patent offices to exchange information and speed up the processing of patent applications. Patent applicants can request accelerated processing of their applications at any of the offices involved in the project, if their claims have been found to be acceptable by any of the other offices involved in the cooperation. The GPPH cooperation is available for both national and PCT-PPH routes.
