Visit of the Director General and delegation of the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks of Romania

From 10 to 13 Octobe 2007 Mr. Gábor Varga, Director General of the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks of Romania and his delegation paid a bilateral presidential level visit to our Office. At the meeting the HPO was represented by Dr. Miklós Bendzsel, President, Dr. Mihály Ficsor, Vice-President for Legal Affairs, Mrs. Márta Posteiner-Toldi, Vice-President for Technical Affairs, Mrs. Éva Bakos, Director, Dr. Péter Csiky, Head of Department and Ms. Márta Koslik, International Officer.
The agenda of the meeting included the current issues of the European Patent Organisation, issues concerning litigation and the community patent in the European Union, and the activity of OHIM, in particular its fee policy and co-operation with national offices. The participants informed each other  of the latest developments and services in their offices. They also exchanged views on the draft mid-term (2007-2010) co-operation programme between the regional industrial property centres from Romania and Hungary, which will be on the agenda of the next joint session of the two Governments to be held this November.
Following the discussions, the delegation of Romania was acquainted with the activity and researches of the Agricultural Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences at Martonvásár.
