Hungarian Chairman in the Administrative Board
The Administrative Board of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) has elected dr. Mihály Ficsor, the Vice-President of the Hungarian Patent Office as its chairman. The mandate of the new chairman lasts for 3 years from 1 January 2011.
The Administrative Board is composed of one representative of each Member State and one representative of the Commission and their alternates. The Administrative Board's tasks include the following activities: it shall draw up the lists of candidates of senior officials of the OHIM, shall advise the President of the OHIM on matters for which the Office is responsible, shall be consulted before adoption of the guidelines for examination in the Office. It may deliver opinions for and transmit requests for information to the President of the OHIM and to the Commission.
