Youth in Design - World Industrial Design Day in Budapest

Budapest celebrated World Industrial Design Day with a 2 day programme organised by Hungarian Design Council, Budapest Design Week, HIPAVILON Hungarian Intellectual Property Agency and MOME+. Related to the Youth in Design slogan the programme discussed the topics of sustainable technologies and perspectives of the future in design. According to the new federal definition of design, World Industrial Design Day introduces the new title of International Council of Societies of Industrial Design: World Design Organisation.

Visitors of World Industrial Design Day in Budapest had the opportunity to have access to Varinex factory, one of the market leader Hungarian companies in 3D printing, learning about the potential of the dynamically developing industry sector and the promising perspectives of the 3D technology.

On the 29th June a vividly descriptive round table took place in Anker’t club organised in collaboration with MOME+, where young designers devoted to sustainable and social responsible attitude had an interesting conversation about revolving function of design, sustainable and social driven tendencies, perspectives and experiences.

On the occasion of World Industrial Design Day 2016 two informative issues came out:
