Nice Classification

Nice Classification

The Nice Agreement is to classify products and services which can be protected by trademarks. The Agreement concluded in 1957 classifies products and services according to the subject of trademark protection or of application for trademark protection. The Agreement set up 34 classes for products and 11 classes for services - and an alphabetical list of some 10 000 goods and 1000 services. The eighth edition of the Classification entered into force in 2002.
