National Scientific and Innovation Competition for Youth

National Scientific and Innovation Competition for Youth

The First National Innovation Competition for Youth took place in 1991/1992. Through organising this competition Hungary was offered the possibility to be the first from Central-Eastern Europe to join the Competition for Young Scientists that has been organised by the 12th Directorate-General of the European Commission since 1988. The purpose is to promote cooperation among young scientist-candidates of 15 to 20 years of age in order to contribute to the development of promising young talents. The Hungarian competition is announced by the Hungarian Innovation Association, the Ministry of Education and Duna Television and the Hungarian Patent Office is also found among its supporters. Also the president of the Hungarian Patent Office participates as a juror. The consideration for competition and the delivery in the course of an event called INNOFÓRUM occurs at the end of May each year.

See details of the competition at www.innovacio.hu.
