The System of Intellectual Property Education in Hungary
The Hungarian Intellectual Property Office has been offering training programmes for interested parties since the 1950's.
A separate department – the Industrial Property Information and Education Centre or ITOK – has been operating for 20 years now in charge of education, promotion and information provision concerning intellectual property.
The Hungarian Intellectual Property Office also promotes awareness of intellectual property protection by providing several training options, and it ensures the operation of the industrial property education system under Decree 2/2002 (VIII. 22.) TNM of the Minister without portfolio on Industrial Property Education (Hungarian only).
The Industrial Property Information and Education Centre provides professional assistance with training courses on intellectual property, organises the courses and operates the examination system. Also, it develops, supports and operates the graduate and the post-graduate system of intellectual property education. In addition, it cooperates in the organisation of special trainings tailored to individual needs from basic to proficiency levels.
The graphs below show data on instructors and participants of trainings organised by the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office.
